CO-FOUNDER/CO-OWNER/ARTIST
“I was sworn to rep and protect my homeland, THE BRONX.”
Words not spoken lightly by Pete Powerz. With a “real life, no fiction” approach to the game, he dominates in his arena. His inspiration is mainly drawn from Hip-Hop’s royalty…Nas, Jadakiss and Raekwon. His lyrics reflect life growing up on Morris Avenue. It is a New York story that’s gritty and grimey, one that many who grew up in the hood can relate to. His plan is to stay a main fixture on playlists around the atlas.
His single “100 Bandz” just recently broke the airwaves on Power 105.1’s radio station. With the upcoming release of his full-length album due out in March, Powerz is ready to make a niche for himself. For the last two years and running, he has been invited to hit the stage for the well-known DJ PROSTYLE. He has shared a spotlight with recording artists Cory Gunz and Fred Tha God Son. He has the ability to move a crowd and command attention while performing at iconic venues such as Webster Hall and Loews Paradise Theater. He is best known for his wicked word play. He challenges his opponents and reality. His animated style and energy bleed through the speakers.
Years ago he decided to shift his focus to getting his pain, his story on paper. “I used to write till the ink ran out” he recalls. Between run-in’s with the law, death of close friends and fatherhood his art certainly imitates life. There is no doubt that Pete Powerz’ charisma and creativity makes for the perfect catalyst to shoot him straight to the top.
